Fellowship post IMT2

Looking for some advice

Planning on accepting a one year research fellowship (with outpatient work, limited inpatient) in a speciality of my choice (group 2) rather than IMT3. I am a current IMT2 so planning on informing current employer as soon as I get a contract.

Are those in a fellowship post expected to keep a portfolio for ARCP purposes? Not sure how this works for a post with limited inpatient exposure? Coming up to 5 years in the NHS next August, does this year count towards my appraisal etc?

Thank you, unfortunately I do not have much exposure with/know of many doing fellowships

I went to apply for the 2026/02 sitting and got a message to say that I am ‘currently awaiting Part 2 results and are therefore not eligible for the 2026/02 Part2 examination’. What does this mean?
