🚲 Saddles

Hello ladies,

I’m a beginner road cyclist who recently picked up a Specialized Allez and I’m absolutely loving it so far! I’ve got padded shorts on the way (because let’s be honest… Toronto roads are not the greatest 😅).

I wanted to ask—what are some good cost-friendly padded or cushioned saddles you’d recommend? Comfort is definitely my priority right now while I build up longer rides.

Thanks so much in advance! 💕

New Specialized Allez Road 🚴🏽‍♀️

Hey everyone 🙂

Loving my new road bike so far—such a great feeling being out on it and getting those longer rides in. Did about 33km recently and felt really comfortable overall, which I’m super happy about 😊

The only thing I’m still getting used to is how rough some of Toronto roads feel… you really notice every bump 🙁😅 Definitely not the smoothest ride in certain areas. I’m thinking of eventually going up to 35mm tires for a bit more comfort, so hoping that helps take the edge off.

I already swapped out the saddle and that made a big difference, so slowly dialing things in. Other than the bumps, I honestly love the bike and the whole experience 🚲and changing gears is smooth 😊
