Anyone else feel super bored after coming back to PG?

I don’t know if it’s just me, but every day after work when I come back to my PG, the boredom hits instantly. Like the moment I open the door, it’s just silence, scrolling, and wondering what to even do with my evening.

I try watching shows, scrolling Instagram, sometimes even start learning something new… but I lose interest so fast. Weekdays feel especially long and repetitive. It’s weird because the day feels busy, but evenings feel empty.

How do you guys deal with this? What do you usually do after work so you don’t feel stuck in this boring routine? 😅

I have around 6 years of experience in tech — 5 years in QA (domestic companies) and the last 1 year as a backend developer. Recently I’ve become very interested in Product Management because I enjoy working on product decisions, user problems, and cross-team collaboration more than pure coding.

Now I’m stuck and confused about where I actually fit.

On one hand, I don’t have a formal PM title yet. On the other hand, I’ve been working with products, requirements, releases, and engineering teams for years. So I don’t know if I should apply for:

  • Product Manager / Senior roles
  • Associate / Junior PM roles
  • Intern / trainee roles

Starting as an intern after 6 years feels scary, but applying for senior roles feels unrealistic too.

For people who switched from QA or development to PM — how did you position your experience? What level did you target first? Any advice on the best path would really help 🙏
