The paper towel effect is the idea that as you get closer to goal, you drop sizes much faster than when you are bigger. I never, ever, in my whole entire adult life imagined I could be 140 pounds, not even after my VSG. I don't think I have been that weight since middle school. And I'm old.

So my public service announcement is this: when you are buying clothes thinking that you are close to or at goal, buy them tight!! This medicine will surprise you! 🥳

For anyone wondering, I'm 5'8", 145 lbs, pictured is a medium vacay crew neck and small long vacay joggers. I could probably do a small in the top, but I like my sleeves really long and I don't like to worry about them shrinking in the dryer. ☺️
