Fighting or playing?
*update* Thanks everyone for your comments, it's so appreciated. I did suspect it was probably fine but it's always better to be safe than sorry, so I'm very grateful indeed for the reassurance. We didn't grow up with dogs and they're first dogs for both of us, so it's very much a learning curve!

Hi, my brother and I are trying to get our dogs used to another - mine (the cocker) is nearly six months and is well socialised (but a puppy, so excitable). His (the mini schnauzer) is lovely around people but not at all socialised around dogs. We take them on leads a long distance apart in the park first, then off lead in the garden and then in the house. They are good around each other a fair amount of the time, especially once they've been outside. However, I really struggle to tell if they're playing or fighting. She is naturally a submissive dog as she lies down in front of every dog she meets. My instinct is that they are playing but that after a while she doesn't want to be chased, but that he has no off switch, so it veers from playing to a bit more than playing and back again. I'd be very grateful for anyone's thoughts on this - thanks in advance!
