What's in your carry on that most people forget

Flying 4-5 times a month for work and I feel like I've optimized my carry on at this point. Curious what other frequent flyers consider essential.

For me it's foam earplugs (not AirPods, actual earplugs for sleeping), an empty water bottle to fill after security, and a power bank.

Moving from DisplayLink to native dual display on TB5

I relied on DisplayLink for years to get multiple monitors working on my old laptop and honestly it served me well. But there was always some CPU overhead and occasional mouse stutter during heavy spreadsheet work that I just got used to living with.

Finally got a new laptop that supports multiple high res streams natively and picked up a tb5 dock (Anker Prime) to go with it. The difference in smoothness is noticeable. Dual displays running through native hardware with no drivers or compression in the chain. My external NVMe drives also dont slow down when the monitors are active which used to happen on my older setup because everything was sharing limited bandwidth.

DisplayLink is still great tech if your machine doesnt support multiple displays natively, it literally saved my workflow for years. But if your hardware can do it without the driver layer the native experience is worth moving to.

Blocked ears for days and I’m not sure if I should just go get them cleaned

So my ears have been feeling kind of blocked the past few days and it’s starting to get really annoying. It’s not painful, just that muffled feeling like something is sitting in there. I don’t usually mess with my ears too much, just occasional cleaning and leave it alone most of the time.

I did try looking myself with one of those camera tools, Bebird, just out of curiosity, and it does look like there’s some buildup in there. But seeing it kind of made me hesitate more than anything, because I’m not sure what’s safe to actually remove on my own.

I haven’t really tried drops or anything yet because I don’t want to make it worse if it’s already compacted. I’ve been looking at places around Bath that do microsuction, but I have no idea if that’s the right move or if I’m overthinking it.

Has anyone here had this done locally or dealt with something similar? Did you go straight to a clinic or try something at home first?

Anyone using the anker smart home power kit with the f3800 plus?

I am looking into whole home backup systems. I see the f3800 plus connects to the anker smart home power kit to tie into the grid and rooftop solar. Does the automatic weather tracking feature actually work to pre charge the batteries before a storm hits?

My mom gifted me this desk and now I’m emotionally attached… how do I make the whole space this cute?

I’m 22 and just starting my career, my mom surprised me with this desk for my home office setup. I really really love it, but now the rest of the space is giving… nothing lol.

I want the room to feel cute, cozy, and a little more put together so I actually enjoy sitting down to work. What would you add first without making it feel cluttered?
