Drainage suggestion
Hey everyone looking to get some ideas. My house is like 120 years old and the basement is what you would expect. The is the side currently and when it rains the water rolls down the side of the house and pools next to the side step and seeps into the basement. My goal is to break up the concrete and remove the pavers in the yard and try to slope the ground up to the house so the water drains away from the house. I am not sure where the downspout leads currently, I have not seen an outlet for that pipe anywhere so it may be draining to the sewer. I was also thinking about taking out that step (and adding some on the other side of the little porch), digging up the ground and running a new underground pipe to let the downspout drain out away from the porch. Then ultimately I’d do some mulch or gravel against the house. Looking for input from the group and ideas. Thanks!
43/m -bored out my mind working from home.
Hey everyone. I’m zack 43/m from the east coast. Working from home with very little work to actually do. Spending my morning on the treadmill scrolling reddit while moving my mouse to stay active at work. I’m into movies (all types, but I have a big love for horror. Practical effects > CGI) and music (current obsession is Electric Callboy and Turnstyle). Very big into the gym so if that’s your bag we can talk about that as well. I’d love to meet someone to pass the time with so shoot me a message.
