Feeling Discouraged
I’m 29M, been stretching on and off since I was 20. I started at pinhole and progessed to about 2/3rds retraction when erect (and full retraction while flaccid) between ages 20-22, and it suddenly stopped when I was around age 23. I only stretched intermittently in my mid 20’s because my life was such a mess, but I grabbed a set of the rings at age 27, and made good progress and was able to retract while erect after 4 or 5 months. However, it was tight and couldn’t move freely. It started to take me months per ring, and so I tried a metal stretcher that stretches horizontally along with prescribed Triamcinolone steroid cream, but it didn’t work. So I picked the rings back up and made it to the 38mm ring, but it’s still too tight to move freely and progress is very slow.
Suffice to say this has ruined my dating/sex life for my entire 20s and I’m so over it. So I went to a urologist yesterday and she recommended circumcision, but did say since it’s mild at this point that I could try the betamethazone steroid cream for a couple weeks. She said she recommends circumcision because the phimosis can re-occur even after you stretch it all the way.
What should I do to optimize this last opportunity? I really want to get past this so I’m thinking about following her advice (getting the circumcision if it isn’t resolved in a few weeks) if it doesn’t work.
