Adventurers 1932 - The Cars

Since there was significant enthusiasm shown towards the car in my previous post, I figured it would be more convenient to showcase the wheeled vehicles I made for my Adventurers revamp in a separate post.

(Slides 1 to 5) : The car I associate to the team of the protagonists is a 1931 Ford Model A Phaeton. The variant with the convertible top down is a complete afterthought for this photoshoot but I was curious as to how it would look.

(Slides 6 to 9) : The car I associate to the antagonist is a 1932 Maybach Zeppelin DS8 "Stromlinien" Spohn. The antagonist in question is supposed to be an original character but I now realise that the face I gave him makes him resemble Señor Palomar. I'll let you decide the way you choose to interpret it - after all the identity of Adventurers villains has a history of being confusing.

Adventurers 1932

Revamp of my favourite Lego theme, focusing on vehicles (mostly because set pieces are beyond my current part collection).

The plane is an Armstrong Whitworth A.W.155 Argosy.

The car is a 1931 Ford Model A Phaeton.

Swordfish postwar liveries by Gregory Sainz and Erick Norberg (a.k.a. ViggenXFiles)

The Swordfish is the titular fictitious aircraft of the first three "Blake & Mortimer" comic books "Le Secret de l'Espadon", which narrate how WWIII was started in 1946 by a military dictator who took control of Tibet and secretly built-up industrial capabilities in the Himalayas while waiting for the major powers to exhaust each other during WWII before lauching a massive worldwide attack.

Within the context of the story, the Swordfish is the MacGuffin that is instrumental in defeating those occupying forces. It is described as a nuclear-powered hypersonic penetrator equipped with nuclear rockets and able to overwhelm any existing air defenses of the time.

Although it is not well-known it has its core of dedicated enthusiasts and, back in 2009, a duo of 3D artists (Gregory Sainz and Erick Norberg) designed several post-WWIII liveries for the Swordfish by imagining its operational history in several national air forces.
