Family visa renewal rejected for Bangladeshi national in Al Ain — asked to leave in 30 days. What options do we have?

Hi everyone, I’m posting on behalf of a friend and hoping someone here has experience or legal insight.

As many people know, visa approvals for Bangladeshi nationals have become very difficult recently. My friend’s brother lives in Al Ain and has been in the UAE on a family visa sponsored by his father for several years. He has renewed it before without any issues.

A few days ago they applied for renewal again. All requirements were completed and paid for (medical passed, Emirates ID, fees, etc.). But after submission, they received a letter saying the renewal was rejected and that he must leave the UAE within 30 days. No reason was provided.

This came as a shock because:
• He has no overstay or legal issues
• Medical was passed
• All documents were submitted and fees paid
• Previous renewals were approved normally

We are trying to understand what could cause this and what steps can be taken now.

Questions:

  1. Is there any way to appeal or request reconsideration?
  2. Can the visa be converted to another type (employment / student / visit) without exiting?
  3. Has anyone experienced similar rejection recently?
  4. Can anyone recommend an immigration lawyer or PRO who has handled cases like this?

Any advice or direction would be really appreciated 🙏
