Unpopular opinion: Underground 50 Cent in the 90s was nothing special

50 Cent is one of my favorite rappers and I can rap a lot of his songs word for word. But, a popular theory is that he was better before his Get Rich Or Die Tryin era. People believe he was so lyrical and so talented before he got in the mainstream. While I can enjoy certain tracks from 50 Cent's underground days. I can say I don't see the rapping difference in 90s 50 Cent vs the mainstream early 2000s 50 we all know and love today. Only difference is the slight voice changes. Matter of fact I'll even go as far to say 50 was nothing special in the 90s as he sounded like every other new York rapper at that time. His Power Of The Dollar album sounds like a rough draft that wasn't finished yet. I'll argue that 50 didn't start having better lyrics til he got shot and even me saying that is a slight stretch..

This guy's story is one of the most interesting, attention grabbing and saddest stories of all time.

The fact that Lloyd Avery grew up as a suburban kid with a good childhood. Then, one role actin as a gangster in a movie made him switch to a real life active gang member who killed a few people. Only to end up getting killed in prison and sacrificed at the same time by a Satanist.
