I’m considering a wheel change on my 997.1 C4S - wide body (obviously). The new wheels are OEM from a 997.2 narrow body. The only difference in the factory wheel specs between the two body styles is the offset of the rear wheels, there’s a 17mm difference.

I plan to achieve standard fitment by using 17mm spacers on the rear wheels.

Curious if anyone know of any disadvantages with this plan?

A google AI search indicates that Porsche actually sold wide body cars with narrow body wheels+spacers for a short time.
