Belt and waistcoat
I’ve read in the comments of a few posts here that one shouldn’t wear a belt with their kilt if paired with a waistcoat. It was only recently I discovered this was a thing.
I know a lot of people here are of the “you do you” mindset, and I’m almost certainly going to go with comfort over rules, but I’m curious; how much of a thing is it?
It’s just that my brother is getting married in a few weeks, I’m going to be wearing my kilt (obviously) along with shirt, tie, and a waistcoat (if you hadn’t guessed),but I’m about a stone lighter than I was when I wore it for my own wedding and it’s hanging a little lower than it did. So, to keep it mid-knee, I was thinking I’d just wear a belt rather than attempting to alter it. What are your thoughts?
