Regalis $20 razor clam review. W/photos now lol(redux)
So i first tried it solo out of the can. Some were quite chewy. i dont mind that so much but it is noticeable the flavor was good but mainly had the taste of the smoky oil.
I then toasted some sourdough with the oil under the broiler. One side with some white lemon vinegar. chopped the clams in quarters and placed on the toast. one slice i left in the oven to see how it impacted the clams.
This revealed the oil is the real star here. It affected the bread in a way that was deep but not pungent i had some furikake on the toast too. This tasted much better with the warm bread.
The 2nd slice with the lightly toasted clams was even better and helped with the chewyness. They loosened up a bit and there was more flavor from the clam.
Overall i wouldent buy again because if the price but am on the hunt for another razor clam tin for sure.
