Question on penalty point fine?
So long story short i’ve accumulated 5 penalty points as a novice driver with another 3 about to be added which brings me to 8 (7 is the limit for a novice) I’m not here to be scrutinised about why or how i got the points but just looking for advice. I’m a first year apprentice and driving is essential for my job. I’ve gotten the notice in the mail a few weeks ago and have until the 26th to pay the fine or it then goes to court. Now i’m wanting to challenge it so that i can stay on the road as long as possible maybe until i go for my phase 2 in collage where i wouldn’t need the car as much and then the 6 months off the road would be a lot less stressful.
Has anyone ever challenged penalty points or waited it out to go to court if so what was the outcome and how long could i potentially push back the 6 month suspension. Any help would be appreciated.
