Kyle gets hit with the BCSO Special

It's pretty crazy how so frequently BCSO deputies go for pits when on elevated portions of roads. They almost always result in either killing the occupants of the car they hit or if the car remains functional it allows for an easy escape as they are in a location that can't be easily or safely reached.

There just seems to be absolutely no training provided on pitting. Nor do deputies face any disciplinary actions for doing these dangerous pits. Speaking of discipline, it seems like there is never any sort of disciplinary action taken for "SOP Violations". People seem to only face disciplinary action for mouthing off (or driving the sheriff's car) or doing something like a bad shoot (even then that is inconsistently applied).

Rper that played Fringus crashes out after being kicked from Beevers

I happened to catch this out of nowhere while flipping through a few streams before going to bed. The Beever's were having a meeting discussing Fringus being kicked out when these chat logs came through.

Deleting GTA and Fivem seems pretty extreme and seems like there wasn't quite enough separation between the RPer and their character.

LSPD shooting of Petey Pacino appealed, Luna overturns Escobar and Minx guilty verdicts

I didn't catch any of the trial other than the ruling but Bowman's guilty verdict was upheld while Escobar's and Minx's verdicts were overturned. As expected, Sharpe and Hardy of the BCSO were upset with the results.

They claimed that Luna shouldn't have been able to overturn the verdicts and claimed it was supposed to just be a hearing to determine if there were grounds for an appeal and a retrial would have been necessary for verdicts to be overturned.

They also spoke with Luna after the case and were extremely disrespectful and belittling of her to the point that she logged off the server. I guess they have learned from Wrangler that when ever you are unhappy with a verdict you should just yell at the judge.

A thanks to everyone contributing

I just wanted to thank everyone that has been contributing to discussions on the subreddit. The post quality and level of discussion has been great. There has been very little need for moderation overall and given the small size of our mod team, that is greatly appreciated.

So please keep it up. I have enjoyed reading people's insights as well as their jokes.

Regarding moderation, my goal is to have relatively light moderation, but there are two specific things we are cracking down on (which often go hand in hand). Posts which do not further any discussion, i.e simply responding TLDR to a long OP, or insults which are not accompanied by anything furthering discussion. While insults are likely to occur a bit when discussing contentious topics, if you have an insult contained in one sentence that is part of a paragraph (or longer) comment that is overall constructive, no moderation action will occur unless the insult is particularly vulgar/offensive. But if a comment consists of only an insult then it will be deleted and if there is a history of those sorts of comments then temporary or even permanent bans may be applied.

Once again, thanks for all of the great posts you have all been making. The level of discussion here is far deeper than any RP subreddit I have participated in previously.

While Penta had discussed wanting to nerf tuner cars in his last stream, he commented that there were new PD cars coming with the next patch as well as the "Sport Mode" switch. So it sounded like nerfs might not happen until after the patch to see how the balance was with the souped up PD cars.

Well apparently that was an idea that was passed over. Tuner cars were nerfed today and it seems to be pretty significant. As I mentioned in my last thread, TehJamJar has been putting in lots of efforts towards the racing scene and was very aware of the performance of many of the cars. He tested some of the post-nerf cars and he was very displeased to say the least.

He mentioned how he had told himself before starting Chase to only play episodic characters and not get too invested in anything on the server. He said the reason that was his plan was because on every server he has had stuff like this done which blocks/interrupts his RP. He didn't follow his own plan and be had history repeat. He had to take a little break from the stream because he was getting so annoyed thinking about it.

I honestly hope the other admins/devs/people with sway try to stop Penta from the knee-jerk balance changes. Maybe he might listen to JamJar given he is one of the bigger streamers on the server, but he needs to start listening to someone. All of these unilateral, non-data based decisions are hurting the server. Especially when the decisions are deeply based on emotion and being unhappy to "take an L".

JamJar offered to help with car balance and apparently has offered to do so multiple times. For the sake of the server I hope they take him up on his offer.

So Penta has left for vacation with Chase not having a new patch for quite some time. There has been a "big patch" on the horizon for a pretty long time. It's almost reminiscent of that big patch Snow was supposed to have for Unscripted which had been mentioned for weeks but the server collapsed prior to it ever being released.

So going into Penta's vacation, Chase is in a pre-patch lull state and the biggest streamer is going to be gone for over a week. However, Penta is a pretty controversial person and it seems that even many players on Chase don't really like him and try to avoid him.

So will Chase's player count continue to drop as people wait for the patch and the return of Penta or will the server population possibly increase due to players having a week to be able to RP without the potential threat of Penta having an unwelcome impact on their RP?

In a not so uncommon occurrence, Wrangler got into a pursuit and after losing the car he started talking about needing to nerf "tuner cars." He asked TJ to compile the list of the top 5 most purchased tuner cars to hit with the nerf bat.

For those unaware, which is probably a lot of people, one of the areas of RP on Chase which has been building momentum and popularity is the racing scene. While there are a lot of people involved in building it, a lot of the participants are non-streamers or small streamers. The largest streamer and one of the people doing the most to help build the scene is TehJamJar on his character Ronnie. He recently acquired a bunch of NOS and has been distributing it to the racing scene via Simba being one seller and Ronnie is selling some for cash while he is trading the rest for scratch cars and engine parts.

Rather than simply becoming wealthy on the character, he is planning on using the proceeds for building the racing scene by offering prizes for races, both cash prizes and items like T3 engines. He has already arranged several races and he is looking to establish weekly races (some being legal ones like the drag races which he has already ran.)

The people in the racing scene have dropped a lot of cash on their cars and given the previous examples of car balancing on the server, when cars get nerfed its more of a gutting than minor adjustments. So people are probably going to be upset when they see their cars performance is destroyed because a bad driver isn't able to keep up better drivers.

I know that since this subreddit is made up of a lot of ex-Penta (and some still current) fans, a lot of people are going to have negative perceptions of racers. But, they have been building their own pocket of RP and it's kind of on the verge of "taking off" with the racing app, more people being interested and getting race worthy cars and more organized races forming.

I feel like a bunch of RP that people have been building towards is going to be gutted as their 6 figure cars become worse than cars half the price that didn't get the nerf bat. Rp being ruined because someone couldn't handle losing some pursuits.

I just caught the end of it where he was awarded 2million and ruled not guilty of something as well by Lars.

Didn't this happen in Paleto during martial law? Martial law has very restricted rights for everyone including citizens. So I'm wondering if that was brought up during the case or if I'm wrong with what/where/when happened.

If anyone has some info that would be great.

Also, while I thought 5k awards and less for rights violations was crazy, 2mil seems absolutely insane and doesn't seem to take into account the economy status at all. But hey, I guess this will just accelerate the issues on the server which will be funny to watch at least.

Pretty funny comments from Penta today regarding the LSPD situation. The fact that he brought up Slur-Gate and connected it to the LSPD firing/quiting stuff was wild. He also made claims that Soupes never made. Soupes claimed that he heard the slur in the video but he didn't think that Penta using it once made him a homophobe. Penta also claimed that Soupes was getting his chat to believe the same thing and targeting him, rather than the far more simple explanation that they heard the slur.

Trying to claim only people that dislike him heard the slur in the video is wild. There are multiple Penta fans (and former fans) that all claim to have heard it as well.

*Edit:* 10-15 minutes later and he is still on the topic and I got name drop and was proclaimed the leader of the schizo movement!! No one ever disliked Penta until I was banned from Penta's chat!

I was lazy and just used someone's instant clip link but it's so worth watching like 1min before and 2mins after the clip.

Marthur was stabbing a guy and it triggered locals to start shooting. It ended up with the person Marthur was stabbing being shot as well as a cop and EMS that rolled up on the scene to be executed as well. It was one of those silly GTA RP AI moments that are just hilarious.

For those unaware, this was a civil case that came out from a pretty lame arrest (which was malicious in my eyes) by Culpepper and Hollow after Baby called 911 and reported DMV Dan as possibly kidnapped when the DMV lights were on and he wasn't in the building. I viewed it as malicious because the charge seemed obviously shoddy and it was late at night so the most likely outcome was for Baby to have to eat the charge and have to go to the docket if she wanted to fight it. Luckily Teomi happened to be around for a bench trial despite it being very late hours.

Lars was very locked in for the whole case and he ripped into Culpepper and Hollow for even considering to press this charge. It also hopefully solidified for at least Culpepper and Hollow that Mens Rea is a consideration even if it isn't specifically mentioned in a charge. Hopefully that propagates throughout the Police departments and leas garbage charges will be pressed.

I think it's pretty funny that Penta has deleted the VOD while claiming he said he did not say anything bad. Definitely the actions of an innocent person, right?

I am actually thankful that Penta went on his DMCA crusade against the RPClipsPurple subreddit because it led me to download the clip the moment I saw it as I knew it would be DMCAed/removed ASAP. But now the F Slur clip will live on.

if anyone else wants a copy of the clip, send me a DM and I will send you a link to a streamable where you can view it.

What did you all think of the meeting?

I wasn't able to turn it on until it was close to the end and it seemed pretty fucking boring with almost nothing of interest discussed. It mainly seemed to be reiterating that cops were meant to use their numbers and radio as their "power" and to not expect other tools like better guns or helicopters.

I don't know what I really expected and maybe I missed the "good" stuff but it didn't seem like the meeting ended with a bunch of people feeling revitalized or excited to be police but maybe that's unrealistic expectations to begin with.

I heard Zhifven (sp?) speaking a bit, did her actions get called out as being harmful to the cop-crim ecosystem at all? I assume no?
