my review of this "propaganda" series called chiraiya

Finally watched chiraiya in one go and yeah... the "propaganda" label people are throwing around feels funny now there's no loud messaging, no forced narrative

it's just everyday situations shown as they are

if this is what people are calling propaganda, then maybe we're just not used to seeing certain things clearly it's a slow, uncomfortable watch but more than anything, it just feels real

not something you watch for entertainment, but definitely something that stays with you

I went into Chiraiya expecting "woke" garbage, but came out feeling genuinely uneasy.

Honestly, I'm usually the first person to roll my eyes at social message shows. I thought Chiraiya was going to be another loud, man-hating rant. But I gave it a shot because of the hype, and man, it's not what I expected.

It doesn't rely on shouting or making the husband a cartoon villain. Instead, it captures that weirdly specific sanskari passive aggression that happens in every middle-class house.

I'm still processing it, but it's definitely not the "propaganda" people are claiming it is. It's just a mirror that's very hard to look into.
