Like, really where in the US trade unions are relevant in the quantity of their influence (afilliates mostly) and their quality around the actual class struggle (even if it's the lowest: such as strikes and real power in demanding a better salary).

Trying to find a not so moralist answer because i don't defend unionism as the answer neither. Even if they are mini Hitlerites i would wish to see if there is something interesting to analyze from here mostly.

Also central unity in trade unions (a kinda broadfront of all the trade unions in a country)if there was ever a try for that.

In my country (Uruguay), the union leadership spent years proclaiming its "radical agenda" of imposing a 1% tax and eliminating the social security reform implemented by the previous neoliberal government.

But now, with the new left-wing government we have (a mix of nationalistic and socialdemocrat big tent disaster), the union federation is negotiating its proposals. It's pathetic to see how they won't even achieve all of their already mediocre proposals, and because they're negotiating now, the union discourse suffers the debacle of remaining demagogic while also failing to criticize the government. It's beautiful.

I would do an asado with my grandpa and the rest of the family. Have a nice day r/ultraleft.

I heard from a friend in the Université de París that he is not bringing AEL and only doing market feudalism. It is true? My father always praise Napoleon as the soldier emperor before beating my mom. Just a normal french peasant in reddit trying to learn theory, thanks :)
