Panamanian 23, tech engineer: Is Amsterdam good for 1 year, improve my English and work in IT?
Hi, I'm from Panama, 23 years old. I am finishing my Engineering degree (technology). My English is B1… I understand more or less but I need practice.
I want to go 1 year to Amsterdam for:
Improve my English.
Know another culture.
Come back to Panama more fluent and better prepared in my area of study.
Work in my technology area (IT, QA, CYBERSECURITY) while I am there.
My questions:
Pros and cons main for a Panamanian (weather, housing, cost of living, safety).
Can I improve my English if everyone speaks English? Or it's bad because they speak Dutch?
What visa or requirements I need for 1 year?
Do people get angry if I only speakk English?
The most important: I want to work in technology (QA, TESTER, cybersecurity) to get experience, because that is the most important thing together with English. Is it possible with B1 English and no Dutch?
Thanks
