you want a morticia… but are you ready to be gomez addams?

saw something about this and it got me thinking

he idolizes her, he worships her… she’s basically his whole world

it’s kinda crazy how intense that is — the way one character feels about the other, like it’s more than love, almost a whole lifestyle

he even feels lucky just to touch her, kiss her arms… like that alone is enough for him

everyone wants a morticia… but are you actually ready to be gomez addams?

it’s not even about wanting to be morticia, it’s about wanting to be gomez

and honestly this goes beyond gender
it’s more about the dynamic and what makes two characters actually feel complete together

morticia and gomez are just one example of that

feels like this kind of dynamic applies to real life too… and even to other movies that have that same kind of connection

so what about you… are you willing to be morticia, or gomez addams?

one, two… freddy’s coming for you 🫵🏻

I’ve been going back and rewatching some classic horror, trying to understand what really makes these villains stick

rewatched A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and yeah… it still hits

what really gets me is the whole dream concept. it sounds simple, but it’s actually kinda terrifying when you think about it

especially because that’s exactly what horror movies mess with… your sleep
you watch something and then you’re just laying there like… yeah I’m not sleeping tonight

you’re not even safe when you’re asleep. there’s no real escape

some parts feel a bit dated now, sure. but the idea? still pretty unsettling

and considering the budget, it’s kinda wild how much they pulled off

makes total sense why freddy became so iconic

what horror movie villain do you think actually holds up today?

Finally watched Alien (1979)… didn’t expect it to hold up this well

I watched Alien (1979) for the first time yesterday and can’t believe I waited this long

I always thought it would feel dated, but it actually feels insanely well made. the production design, the ship, the atmosphere… it all still holds up

what really surprised me is how “high-tech” everything feels for a 1979 movie. no CGI, just practical effects, and it still looks better than a lot of newer stuff

I read it wasn’t even a huge budget, which makes it even crazier. it feels way bigger than it actually is

the ending felt a bit simpler than I expected, but I get why it’s such a classic now

Is it normal to feel more comfortable talking to people online than in real life?

I’ve been noticing that I feel way more comfortable opening up to people online than I do in real life. It’s like I can be more myself without overthinking everything.

Does anyone else feel like this?
