I find the process of learning about CNC setup very interesting and exciting. These bits are for a Morbidelli and will be used to cut basic cabinet parts including miter folds out of MDF, solid wood, laminate, etc.

I would love any feedback or opinions on this choice of bits, size, brand or any thoughts in general. I’m considering exchanging the 90° Amana for a 90/91 degree sharp corner tool alternative that’s possibly bigger for miter folds. I would like to do CNC MDF doors and furniture eventually as well.

Other than that pictures here we have:

1/4” downshear Whiteside bit - 2 flute, overall length 3 inches (I forget the cutting length), diameter 3/8”

90 degree Amana Tools V Groove insert carbide bit, 1 15/16” total length, 3/8 diameter

Good evening everyone. Does anyone have info/steps on how to calibrate a SCM Morbidelli x50 CNC machine with new router bits (and tool holders/collets as well) for the first time? I started a new job at a custom cabinet shop as CNC operator, but I'm responsible for setting up their new machine for production, maintenance & cabinet design/Mozaik software duties. I just ordered a new set of tools so any help or direction is greatly appreciated - happy to pay it forward.

I'm hoping it's easier than the Laguna Smart Shop 2 for the first time. Otherwise, being in charge of this machine has been very exciting.

Thank you for your time, feel free to reach out with questions regarding Mozaik Software or design if needed, happy to help! Any thoughts or discussion are welcomed for this machine.
