After Grand Theft Auto VI, I really hope Rockstar doesn’t go back to Los Santos.
We’ve already spent 13+ years in LS since Grand Theft Auto V… I think GTA 7 needs a completely new identity.
So I came up with a concept:

🌵** **
Setting: “New Texico”
A brand new state inspired by:
New Mexico
Texas
Arizona
Map would have:
Long desert highways (high-speed chases 🔥)
Border towns + smuggling routes
Oil fields + rural areas
One big city: Corrido City (Vegas/Albuquerque vibe)
👉 Nearby state:
Gloriana (possible future expansion 👀)

👤** **
Main Character (Back to GTA roots)
Adrian Vega
Former highway patrol officer
Gets framed in a corruption scandal
Fired, blacklisted, almost sent to prison
👉 Forced into crime just to survive

🔥** **
Why this story works
Instead of another duo/trio:
Go back to ONE main character
Adrian gets pulled into:
Cartels
Corrupt cops
Politicians
And realizes:
The system was never clean to begin with

🧠** **
Main Characters
Mateo “El Gallo” Cruz (Cartel boss)
Calm, calculating, dangerous
Detective Carla Reyes (Corrupt cop)
Former partner who may have set you up
Rico Salazar (Smuggler)
Wild card, unpredictable
Elena Vega (Sister)
The only person trying to pull you out

🎬** **
Story Structure
Act 1: You get set up and lose everything
Act 2: Rise in the cartel using your cop knowledge
Act 3: Discover cops + cartel are connected
Act 4: Everything collapses

🔥** **
Endings (this is where it gets crazy)
🟥 Betrayal Ending
Side with corrupt cops
You live… but lose everything

🟦 Loyalty Ending
Stay with the cartel
You become a kingpin

🟩 Escape Ending (best one IMO 👀**)**
Reject both sides
Drive out of New Texico into another state

🎮** **
Gameplay ideas
Predict police behavior (ex-cop advantage)
Smuggling routes across the desert
Territory control
Choices actually affect the story

💭** **
Why Rockstar should do this
Not another Los Santos recycle
New environment we haven’t seen before
More serious story but still GTA chaos
Back to a focused protagonist

🧠 Random thought
Rockstar skips generations sometimes, so I could see:
Late PS6 launch
PS7 upgraded version (like they did before)

💯 Final Take
GTA doesn’t need to go backwards.
It needs a new identity—and New Texico could be it.
