My sweetest babygirl was recently diagnosed with end stage and given 3 months
I saw her picture in the paper and knew she was going to be mine, she had to be. I adopted her from my local shelter a little over 10yrs ago. My mother was completely against it and we fought for a whole day before she even allowed me to go visit her at the shelter and after I told her to get over it, if she wouldn’t help me rescue her, my ex’s family would. And they did. She was jumpy and covered in bodily gross but I loved her from our first walk.
The shelter labeled her a pit/collie mix and its easier to see in person. Shes got the neck fluff and face of a collie but the rest of her is all pittie. Shes been the perfect dog all these years. From her climbing trees to chase the squirrels to being the best foot warmer. Her goofiness has never failed to make me smile, especially when I don’t want to. Shes alway been do sweet and loving, trying break up fights and calm tempers..
I’ve suffered from depression for so long and anytime she sees me cry she wants to fix it. How could I ever tell her I’m crying because shes going to be leaving me? She and my other pit mix fell in love.. Hes going to be heartbroken without her.. How do I explain to him hes going to lose the only partner hes ever cared about?
I’m just so devastated rn and don’t know what to do…
