Tips to get a on my bike as a small newbie cyclist
**UPDATE** I went on a short ride and it’s definitely easier with all the tips I got!
I was wondering if any of you got tips for me to get up on my bike.
I’m new to road cycling. I bought a road bike last fall and it’s starting to get warm again here. I used it only 3 times for 45, 47 and 22 km rides. When I’m on the bike it’s fine, but I struggle to go back up at crossings.
I’ve always been used to ride city bikes or my old hybrid bike. I think my issue is getting used to the geometry, especially the top bar being higher than what I’m used to. I’m small (5 feet/152 cm) and so is my frame (44 cm). I think having not much clearance for movement makes it difficult.
I also want to note that I did get the bike properly fitted. Thanks !
