The Dreamy Beauty of 65th Anniversary Aurora

Pink or blue? What if you can decide? The 65th anniversary Sleeping Beauty Limited Edition doll solved that dilemma masterfully with both! I'm captivated every time I look at this doll, from her dreamy expression to her dress that shimmers between pink and blue. She's so beautiful. Spell cast, no spindle required.

A Parade of Precious Tianas

Did you know there are Disney Precious Moments dolls? Sold primarily at the parks, there are Precious Moments versions of every princess and even some of characters you wouldn't expect! Here are my Tianas:

  1. Beautiful in Blue (Evening Star dress): I love that this Tiana has a different expression that the other two! She looks slightly fierce to me, which you wouldn't expect from a Precious Moments face. I adore her blue gemstone necklace.

  2. Classic Tiana (Bayou Wedding dress): What an amazing job they did with the dress! It has so many layers and wire running through the hem to make sure it holds that beautiful ripple! And look at that mass of curls in her hair!

  3. Autumn Tiana: Precious Moments has released many different seasonal princess doll sets. My friend gave me Autumn Tiana to celebrate my wedding, which was during an October. I appreciate that this is more than simply a recolor of Classic Tiana's dress. The layers work differently- look how the skirt flairs!- she has a different flower on her waist, and check out the large, luxurious bow on her back.

The Fairytale Charm of Madame Alexander Tiana

I was introduced to Madame Alexander dolls as a little girl. To me, these dolls encapsulated fairytale sweetness and wonder. So I was delighted to discover my favorite princess had been re-imagined in the Madame Alexander style! She came with Naveen who really should not be a frog if she's in the bayou wedding dress, but I appreciate how adoring he appears to be of her.

Time for a Tiana nuiMOs fashion show!

Once upon a time, Disney made a line of poseable, plush dolls called nuiMOs. I am so sad the line is discontinued because I loved them, I snapped up Tiana as soon as she was released! Allow me to share the joy of nuiMOs!

  1. Tiana Style Outfit!

  2. Electric Parade Outfit with headband from the Mulan Outfit- loved this so much I bought it from a seller in Japan!

  3. Captain Marvel Outfit with mini Loungefly Pride backpack. Yes, Loungefly made tiny backpacks for nuiMOs!

  4. Tiana in her princess gown, which she arrived in. Disney, if you ever want to revive this line, I'm still here!

Live Your Disney Dream, My Sweet Doll- and Meet Your Hero: Tiana

For Tiana's week, I want to show off one of the more unique dolls in my collection: Jakks Pacific Playdate Tiana. A friend gave her to me as a bit of a gag gift knowing how much I love Tiana (the idea is your toddler to six-year-old can pretend Tiana is their bestie since this doll is practically the same size as them), but I genuinely adore this doll, she's such a conversation piece! Here she is next to one of my American Girl dolls, who is so thrilled to meet her! AG dolls are 18 inches tall, so yes, Playdate Tiana is nearly 3 feet tall!

It's a Small World Dolls by Brass Key

In 2008, Brass Key released thirteen "It's a Small World" dolls. A friend told me about the line and I spent the better part of last year searching for these. Here are India, Thailand, and Egypt!

Live Your Disney Dream, My Sweet Doll: Cinderella

I've always had a soft spot for Cinderella's pink dress, so when American Girl released it as part of her collection, there was no question I would be adding it to my dolls' wardrobe! The scene in the original animated movie in which the stepsisters destroy it is so heartbreaking- I like the idea of the gown being restored and cherished as the beloved and beautiful heirloom it was meant to be.
