Which bike?
Looking to get a emtb for my GF to help her keep up with me (I ride a trek slash +). She's a beginner rider and mostly sticks to green and blue trails. Looking at full power to really help with the climbs. Trying to spend as little as possible while still getting a decent dual suspension bike with reliable components. She has ridden a levo 4 before and liked it a lot on the climbs, though feels more comfortable on my bike on the descents.
Looking at the $4500-6500 (edit - $AUD) range but would come up to 7 for something special.
At the moment the top contenders are:
- Merida e160 400 (shimano ep8) - $5000
- Giant Reign e+ 3 (yamaha) - $5500
- Polygon Siskiu t7e (shimano ep8) -$5300
- upcoming Amflow pr (avinox) $7000
Im sure they would all have more than enough power to keep up with me on my tq motor, but I also want it to be maneuverable, which is why the amflow is on the list despite its higher price. We will only have the chance to test ride the Merida and Giant. Any experience with any of these bikes? Thoughts?
