Those of you who had a vasectomy, who did yours? How was the experience? Any long term negative effects?
I’m currently on the fence and have been looking into it. I’ve read a lot of positive stories but also some quite negative ones. The thing that scares me most is the 1-15% chance of having long lasting chronic pain…. Doesn’t seem very promising.
I don’t want kids, my partner doesn’t want kids. We have discussed it. She can’t get a IUD and I don’t want her to have to deal with birth control side effects or anything like that so I’m considering getting the “snip”
It’s safe to say I’ve got some anxiety around the whole thing lol. I was circumcised in my early 20’s and lost quite a bit of sensitivity down there, wish I didn’t have to get it done and tried other methods to deal with the problem I was having first but I didn’t. I went under the knife no questions asked. This has led me to be a bit suspicious and not trusting of doctors/ urologists. I know it’s not their fault and it was my decision. I just wish they would have told me there were some other things I could have tried before going under the knife.
TLDR: who are the most reputable vasectomy performers in the province?
