Can silverwood trees generate pure nodes in the nether?

I am currently trying to get a bit of industry set up in the nether, but I would need water production to make it work. The only way I can think of doing this would be pure nodes, as magical forests have humidity, but I'm not sure if pure nodes can generate in the nether. Does anyone know if they can?

I spent one (Minecraft) year in the stone age

Once I updated to the dailies, I decided that I was going to try and do as much as I could in each age before moving on to the next one. I've since decided against that, but that was after I had spent over 250 Minecraft days in the stone age; I decided to finish out the year, knocking out a few bigger remaining tasks before progressing to the steam age.

My threshold for entering the steam age was placing the first steam machine (which, for me, will likely be the macerator or the forge hammer). I will be doing so shortly.

Things I was able to accomplish:

- I maxed out my hearts as much as I could; I have 67, with 10 base, 54 coming from food, and 3 from heart canisters. I ate every single Pam's food item and all the others I had access to (which only excludes the ones that require machines, tree breeding, blood magic, botania, or thaumcraft).

- I cleared 3 dungeons, and used the materials to get a lot of QOL items that require things like steel, and skip certain tool upgrades (I'm about to upgrade my pick to Cobalt, as I have like 1.5 stacks lying around).

- I also completed 6 loot games, 4 at max rewards, and have some useful items which will help me into LV.

- I bred every available crop at max stats under the new system (IE, I didn't touch the ones which require silk touching ores, as I didn't want to bother).

- I bred up some basic bees (common, dyes, etc.), though I didn't invest all that much time there.

- I've basically completed the steam age quest chain up through vaccum tubes, as they require a machine to make.

- I have all the materials ready to go for making a BBF, though I do have over a stack of steel handy from my dungeon crawling.

Now, was all this fairly pointless, and could I have done a lot more a lot faster? Absolutely. But I had fun with it, and I've got about as good a foundation as I could think of before moving on. I'd love to hear your thoughts! Happy Gregging!

P.S. 2.9 is very very fun, even on the dailies, and I highly recommend it.

P.P.S. All hail NEI autocrafting.
