Advice on Our Patagonia Itinerary (Jan–Feb 2027)

Hi everyone,

My partner and I are planning a trip to Patagonia in January and February 2027. We’re both 30 years old and in good physical shape.

Our current itinerary looks like this:

  • Days 1–3: Buenos Aires
  • Days 4–7: El Chaltén
  • Day 8: Puerto Natales
  • Days 9–13: W Trek
  • Day 14: Puma tracking in Torres del Paine?
  • Days 15–16: El Calafate
  • Days 17–20: Bariloche
  • Days 21–22: Buenos Aires

We’re looking for advice on a couple of points:

  1. The extra day in Puerto Natales / Torres del Paine – is puma tracking worth it, or would you recommend other activities?
  2. Making the most of our time – these two days (day 14 + one day currently in Bariloche) could either be used for a new destination, like Ushuaia or Pucon, or added to one of our existing stops. Would you suggest one option over the other?

Do you think we have enough time in each location, or should we adjust the itinerary? Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!
