Hi all,

Honestly, Plexamp is a pain in the ...

I do not have any single playlist, just music I like to listen to. I maintain my "collection" for 25+ years now by just simply adding or removing mp3 (which I bought btw). It sits around +/- 2500 songs.

I never had any playlists (as I do not want to invest any time in managing categories, which I do not care about) and definitely do not plan to invest a single second in this (for me) useless concept, I do not want to use. Nor did I vote in any kind for any songs, as I do not want to tap constantly on my phone like a zombie, just listen to music while I am abroad without data plan (no I will not buy a expensive abroad data plan just to listen to my music that I own and have available space on my phone to sync to) and no connection to my homeserver (as all countries besides my homecountry are geoblocked by my ISP from accessing my home network, which is completely fine and I do not want to change it in any way).

For years, Plexamp does not allow to sync the whole library. Depending on the way I try to sync it, I get different amounts of songs on my phone (but never all). "All music" syncs around 1/3, the method via library syncs ~300 songs more) - everywhere the slider set to maximum. This behaviour is total crap!

The developers are ignorant. They want everyone use the app they like to use it. But that is not how I want to use it! I just want to sync all my songs I legally own to my phone, where i bought enough storage. I bought a Plex lifetime pass to have a software to do that - It worked previously before the mandatory Plexamp, but now it does not work anymore for a while. That is not how you treat someone who funded you from early days!

Reading around, he argues with shady arguments, asking users for "use cases" - well none of your business! Just implement full sync feature, as clearly a ton of users need it. And your argument that some smart playlists or other fancy crap saves storage - well - yes, because it simply does not sync the whole library and I do not want to constantly manage libraries, playlists, check every time before travel that all those synced - Just hazzle-free sync of my whole library to my phone. Simple as that. And your current solution does not save any storage, it uses more. I use two library syncs, one sortet upward, the other sorted downwards. That kinda syncs all songs (but also syncs the overlapping ones, which results in more diskspace used than it would need for just a "sync all".

To anyone who got this far: Thanks for reading my rant, any suggestions for Android apps which are capable of simple sync of my whole music library to my phone (no need for any fancy smart things)?

Thanks for reading!
