the steam marketplace for s&box cosmetics is crumbling

these things are basically becoming worth less and less than their original listing price in the cosmetic shop on the steam marketplace now because of the pretty low player count and seemingly little to no interest in the cosmetics as a whole just wanted to share my observation.

it just seems kind of pointless in paying for avatar cosmetics when you look at the fact free alternative from the workshop or as addons i think can be added and likely will be added to individual servers in the future

even rust skins arent usually this expensive and thats a way WAY more popular game.

are they set because the team, who ever lists them or whatever math they use speculates their expected popularity beforehand thus raises the price "appropriately" in an attempt to make it more expensive to purchase in the store and on the steam marketplace for future players or people who werent able to get it when it was first listed perhaps or is just entirely random.

like the chain being over £5 is crazy to me and even that seems steep for a newly released game
