Made free satisfying photo delete app, no login, no ads to free up the device storage

Made free satisfying photo delete app, no login, no ads to free up the device storage

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a project I just pushed to playstore called Photo Cleaner. It is a swipe to delete photos, built coz i wasnt able to find the important photos due to other unwanted photos.

So basically its a tinder for deleting photos/videos which helps in clearing your phone storage

Use cases:

  • Photographers who loves clicking photos but often get storage full.
  • Users who snap photos, and never checks their gallery again.

The Tech Stack & Hosting:

React expo, cursor. No backend, no hosting other than play store. That's why its free.

Link:

I'd love to hear your feedback on the core swipe to delete feature. If its satisfying, easier for you. If you have any question shoot me, happy to answer.

Solo dev, launched first utility tool for your gallery. I'm looking for support from community

Hi there,

I have built and launched my first utility app and looking for a community support.

My phone storage kept getting full, but going through photos manually felt like a nightmare.

So I built a swipe-based cleaner. Left to delete, right to keep. It’s surprisingly satisfying and way faster than the usual way. No login, no ads, and completely free to use.

Do share your feedbacks on this, and if you wanna try you can check the android app and give me ratings plz. As a struggling solo dev this will give me boost.

Happy building!

Just launched my first utility app and looking for marketing guides

What the app does is delete your unwanted photos and videos in a simple swipes. This is particularly useful if you are someone who takes lots of photograph. This is android app

Im not looking to monetize as of now and just focusing on acquiring users. So i need help on what's the best way to acquire such users?

What has worked for you guys if you can share some insights that will be helpful. Also curious, how long does it take for ASO to reflect?

Unemployed for 2 years, now making app for girlfriend (still unemployed) to make her happy

So here is the story.

I left the job 2 years ago due to toxic work environment, ever since im struggling. Now im just building products and see what sticks.

Recently, my gf's (who is supporting me even after being unemployed for 2years) phone has been super slow due to full storage, majority of those were occupied by photos. You know girls looooove photography. So I built a simple app that allows her to simply remove her unwanted, once shot & never seen photos in a fun way.

You can just simply swipe right to keep and swipe left to remove.

But most important part? My gf was very happy when i showed her the app and she is just super happy. Sharing this story coz i have noone else to share this small happiness.

So here is my happy app if you want to try. Do give ratings, and share feedbacks.

No ads, no logins, no signup required. Just install it, use it, and make your girlfriend's life easier.

I will be adding more features gradually. Support your boy :)

How often do you check the photos you clicked?

I opened my gallery last week to recall my visit to pub with friends.

Ended up scrolling for like 15 minutes and didn’t even make a dent. The image i clicked when i visited pub with my friends in completely lost now among the garbage photos.

It’s mostly just:

- duplicates

- screenshots I never check

- random stuff from WhatsApp

I think I have like 5k+ photos at this point and cleaning it manually just feels impossible. I'm not even a photo addiction person who clicks photo everytime, and genuinely surprised to see the numbers. Most were screenshots though.

I tried a few cleaner apps but most of them either spam ads or ask for a subscription just to delete stuff, which felt a bit ridiculous.

So I ended up making a small tool for myself to go through everything faster.

Nothing fancy, just helps me find unwanted photos, videos and delete it quickly with swipes.

It’s been surprisingly useful for me, but I’m not sure if this is something others actually care about or if most people just ignore their gallery like I used to.

If this is a life saver for you, access here:

Also curious, am i the only one who starts cleaning gallery when storage is full XD?
