Anyone else having sitemap issues with Lovable + Google Search Console?

I’ve been using a pretty reliable workflow for sitemap updates on my Lovable projects, but recently it stopped working and I’m trying to figure out whether this is a GSC issue or something that changed in the workflow itself.

Current setup:

  • Generate sitemap in Lovable
  • Update the static sitemap through an external sitemap tool
  • Submit the sitemap in Google Search Console

This used to work consistently, but now GSC doesn’t seem to properly accept or refresh the sitemap submission anymore.

What I’ve noticed:

  • The sitemap itself appears valid
  • The URL is reachable
  • GSC submission goes through, but the sitemap doesn’t seem to update/index correctly afterward

Mainly wondering:

  • Did Google change sitemap handling recently?
  • Did anyone notice changes with Lovable-generated sitemaps?
  • Is there a better workflow people are using now?

Would love to hear how others are handling sitemap management for Lovable/vibe-coded apps.
