[Art by me] Nicolas Brown

I’m reading Gangsta. for the first time (I’m currently on volume 5), and wow, I’m completely in love with the characters, especially Nicolas, so I decided to make a little fanart!

Hi everyone! A few days ago, I had my first session in a Western-themed campaign where I play a Harpy Ranger named Bula. During one of the scenes, I met this boy who was extremely nervous and in really bad shape (he looked malnourished).

Bula always tries to protect the weak, so she encouraged him to follow her and the group to the nearest refugee camp. However, the boy grew more and more anxious. Eventually, he grabbed Bula’s arm and begged her to let him go, saying he didn’t want anyone in the camp to see him.

I tried to portray Bula’s internal conflict in that moment. She had recently learned about the death of someone she was supposed to protect, and she felt that letting this boy go would be like carrying another death on her shoulders. But he looked so scared and so broken (10/10 roleplay from the DM) that she couldn't bring herself to stop him. She told him she wouldn't hold him back; even though she wanted him to come and eat something, she wouldn't force him, because she felt that doing so would only hurt him more.

The session was short, but it left me with such a great feeling. The boy’s design was made by the DM, who is also an artist, you can find them on Instagram as bardiceye!
