I press the game, my face alight,

A quiet hope for luck tonight

The screen glows softly in the dark,

Each player passing leaves a mark

However the dotless brings gentle shame,

It never seems to say my name

A tiny dot is all I need,

A little sign, a kindly deed

It’s not here, it’s not there,

Just empty space and silent air

My stand stands still, a patient place,

Watching each unfamiliar face

Indeed, the dot’s not anywhere,

No sparkle, no sound, no sign to share

Yet still I wait, I don’t complain,

Just sitting through the quiet pain

I seek, I scroll, I look around,

Hoping one day it makes a sound

A single “ting,” a simple light,

Would make this long, slow evening bright

Some pass by fast, some stop and read,

Some almost click—but then proceed

And that’s okay, I understand,

There’s many stands across this land

Still, if you pause, just passing through,

And find a moment you can spare,

A tiny drop—if you choose to

Would mean much more than you’d be aware

Not for the riches, not for the fame,

Just for that little spark in the game

A sign that someone, somewhere, knew

This quiet stand was waiting too

So I’ll be here, both calm and still,

No rush, no pressure, just goodwill
