Which region of England do you personally associate Gloucestershire with?
With recent debate over our county Council joining either the west of England or Mercia combined authority I was curious to see which region the people feel more aligned with; Midlands or Southwest?
I can't make a poll sadly but I just wanted to see local thoughts on the matter. I would personally call us west country, though not necessarily southwest. Certainly not Midlands, but then again I'm from stroud and not Tewkesbury for example.
From what I can see many southwesterners don't consider anything north of Bristol to be southwest, but from what I can see about people from the Midlands they don't consider us much at all so there's that.
