People ask: "If resurrection is possible, why didn't Ido save his daughter?" Simple: Ido had Ethics. Nova has None. Ido let his daughter rest in peace, but Nova is a scavenger who will turn Hugo into a weapon just to break Alita’s spirit!
The "Genius" Advantage: Nova doesn't just have Zalem’s tech; he has observed Dr. Ido’s genius for years. If Ido could rebuild Alita from a 300-year-old scrap core, Nova can easily use those same methods to repair Hugo.
