Dang, this was so cool back in the day. Sadly it's going in the garbage now. I got this around 2011 when watching TV on your phone was actually difficult. It was very hard to find what you wanted to watch and even if you did find a stream it was usually low quality and disconnected alot. This was called a sling box (not to be confused with sling TV service). This box hooked directly to your cable box. You could launch the app anywhere and get all the same channels with a builtin digital program guide. No monthly fee, you just had to purchase the box for around 250. Only issue was if someone was actually at home watching TV they would have to watch whatever channel I was watching lol. They discontinued the box in 2022 so it is no more. Other than the guide, the box seems to be doing all the legwork on my end so they shouldn't have flipped the off switch. I assume it must have cheaper than deleting the guide our. .I miss you old friend.
