My UK Ltd company was dissolved -can I update my Etsy seller account to a new company without losing my shop?
Hey everyone, hoping someone has been through something similar.
My UK limited company was dissolved earlier this year after a registered address issue with Companies House. The problem is my Etsy seller account is still registered under the old dissolved company, and my shop is doing around £2,500/month in revenue ,so I really can't afford to lose it or start from scratch.
A few questions:
Has anyone successfully updated their legal business details on Etsy to a new company? I know you can change it in Account Settings → Billing, but I want to hear from people who've actually done it ,did anything break, did Etsy flag it, any issues with payouts?
Can I keep the same shop name and brand even if I register a completely new Ltd company? The shop itself has all my reviews and history so I really don't want to touch that.
Did Etsy Payments / Etsy's finance side cause any issues when you changed your legal entity? I'm worried about a payout hold.
I'm planning to register the new company first and then update Etsy straight after. Just want to make sure I'm not walking into any surprises.
Any advice appreciated,especially from UK sellers!
