Love the U1, hate Snapmaker Orca
First I will say I exclusively use a Mac so this may be part of the problem. But there is a reason I stopped using Orca slicer with my bambu printers and stayed with Bambu Studio. My goodness the most basic shit in Snapmaker Orca crashes it. Like trying to place text on a vertical surface that is curved.
This is the second time this has happened to me. Something causes it to crash repeatedly, in this case the vertical text I mention above. So I bring the file into Bambu Studio, do what I need to do without crashing the app, then open it back up in Snapmaker U1. As soon as I open it up, the device tab no longer works and has a message that you need to reinstall the network plugin. If you install it, it pulls the official Bambu Labs network plugin, which will not connect right to the U1. The only way I have found to restore it is uninstall Snapmaker Orca and reinstall it from scratch with the package from Snapmaker.
Has this happened to anyone else? My lord this thing is buggy as shit.
