📣 Early Access Plan: Next‑Gen Platform “ALP 4KEX”

We are offering early community access to our next-generation platform, currently in R&D under the working name “ALP 4KEX” (EX for Extreme 😊).

Dev Partners & Access Model
Our development partners, FarSight and Magic Pixel, will continue porting their products to the new EX platform. In parallel, we will open self-service online registration for developers and community members to enable early assessment and benchmarking.

No NDA – Open Benchmarking No NDA is required. You are free to share benchmarking results with the community. However, we ask that access be used responsibly with respect to IP protections and applicable laws.

Hardware & Software Availability We have two systems. The first to be made available (via remote access) will include:

  • Qualcomm C8750
  • 144Hz 4K display

We will publish a non-NDA spec sheet covering key components and share a video showing remote login and benchmark runs.

Software Stack Initial access uses our customized Linux (in use since 2019). Subsequently, we will add CE-4KEX to the same system.

Feedback & Roadmap Send input or feedback to arcadeideas@atgames.net. We will review and adopt/improve based on submissions. Feature requests—e.g., specific graphics libraries to accelerate your applications—will be considered for our roadmap. Down the road we may provide a Jira account for DIY submission for each tracking item.

Note We are a small team, so please bear with us if we don’t act immediately on your input.

Dear Legends Pinball Family,

Six years ago, we launched the original AtGames Legends Pinball (ALP HD). Today, it still makes up over 90% of our digital pinball installed base — and it remains the beating heart of our community, from weekly DPWR tournaments to Flipper Friends leaderboard events.

The SSF (Surround Sound Feedback) Kit transforms the ALP 4KP and ALP HDP lines into immersive, bumper-rattling experiences. We worked hard to bring innovation to the original ALP HD.

Unlike the 4KP and HDP lines, the ALP HD was not originally designed with SSF hardware accommodations. Bringing this feature to the legacy platform required significant engineering investment, software re-architecture across multiple game engines, and coordination with external development partners.

We are thrilled to announce that SSF Kit support is officially coming to the original ALP HD.

????

What This Means for You

We are making a significant investment to bring SSF to the platform that started it all. Here's exactly what's coming:

  1. DIY Retrofit Guide & Tutorial Video We will publish a complete, step-by-step guide and video walkthrough for retrofitting the SSF Kit to your ALP HD cabinet.

  2. Free Software Update A software update will accompany the SSF Kit hardware, enabling full SSF compatibility on your machine.

  3. Game Packs Re-Engineered with SSF Data We are working directly with FarSight Studios and Magic Pixel to add native SSF data to existing game packs. This will cover all AtGames Originals, Magic Pixel Zaccaria and others, and FarSight Gottliebs.

  4. At No Extra Cost to You All re-released tables containing SSF data will be delivered free of charge to anyone who has already purchased the corresponding game packs. Upgrades will roll out incrementally.

Why This Matters

The SSF Kit isn't just another accessory. It transforms digital pinball through directional haptic feedback and spatial audio — bumpers fire where they should, the ball tracks audibly across the playfield, and every ramp shot feels alive.

4KP and HDP owners have called it "essential," "a requirement," and "the reason their machine is the go-to in their arcade room."

Now, that same experience is coming home to the ALP HD.

What's Next

DIY Guide & Tutorial: Coming in the Summer. Software Update + Hardware Availability: To be announced alongside guide launch First SSF-Enhanced Table Packs: Incremental rollout starting Q3 2026 We will share exact dates, hardware ordering information, and installation details very soon.

????

A Note of Thanks

This community has been with us since 2020. You've filled leaderboards, competed in weekly events, created content, and never stopped telling us what you wanted next.

Bringing SSF to the original ALP HD is our way of saying again:we thank you.

Stay tuned for the DIY guide and tutorial.
