South Jersey Bar Guide
About a year ago I put together NJDrinks.com to list every Brewery, Winery and Distillery in New Jersey. In the process I learned a ton about all of what NJ has to offer in that realm.
At some point it got me thinking about the bar scene in South Jersey. There's already a great website promoting the South Jersey Food Scene, but none that I know that get into the nitty gritty of the bar scene. Inspired by the South Jersey Food Scene and what Mark does over at 42freeway.com I set out to build a directory of South Jersey bars. Yes, you can find all of these places on Yelp and Google, but I wanted to cut out all of the nonsense and get right into what our local bars have to offer. So at the end of last year and into 2026 I setup DrinkSJ.com
It started as just a bar directory, but after talking to a few folks in various relatable industries I started building an event and artist directory into it. This way not only can bars claim their pages, but artists can create pages with bios and their schedules. The best part is the events are linked to both the entertainers and the venues. If you click on a band you can see where they are playing and if you click on a bar you can see who will be there.
Keeping things fresh is quite the task so I'm definitely missing some great events and maybe even a few bars. You won't find the Olive Garden Bars in there and some other chains, but basically if it has a liquor license I've added it. I even did my best to categorize them.
