We accepted delivery of our Tesla Model Y Standard back in March and absolutely love it! Not sure I’ll ever go back to ICE or by anything other than a Tesla ever again… but that’s not what this post is about.
How are Work From Home people managing their charging costs…
We are a relatively low mileage family, circa 100/150 miles ish per week and are both working from home full time. My wife is actually about to go on MAT leave too.
Were with Octopus and as far as I can see, switching to a EV tarif puts our normal KWPH rate up a significant amount, and the discounted night charging rate savings are negligible and it seems to be of no real saving or benefits considering our daily usage is high compared to families who would
be out of the house all day at work.
I ran our mileage and charging habits since getting the car and at the moment Chat GPT says there is either minimal savings or none at all as we are a ‘low mileage’ example…
How are others managing this type of thing?
