[OC] My version of the York Region YRT bus map (vs. official)
This one might be a bit niche, but I decided to redraw my local municipal bus map because I hate how the official one looks and I hated trying to make sense of it when I was younger, so I wanted to step in and fix it with my own diagrammatic version. Drawn in illustrator. Full res image here
Some context and notes:
- The official map shows 74 lines, 11+ terminals, and several inconsistently labeled POIs. Of those lines, some of them only run on weekends/weekdays/etc, which I omitted for simplicity.
- Added nodes to show the intersections where bus stops are adjacent to each other (ie, across the street or corner) which wasn't always clear in the original.
- All VIVA rapid transit line stops are labeled with their station name.
- I kept all the bus line colours the same as per the original
- I didn’t design this bus system, so if it looks questionable, I'd also love to know why.
