The audit found the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security (MCURES) had never inspected 25 per cent of the registered private career colleges offering Entry Level Training (ELT).
"And for those that were supposed to be reinspected within a five-year period, we found that 44 per cent of those had not been reinspected. So we did recommend that they increase the number of inspections that are being done, because it is very important that they are following the rules," Spence told reporters at a Queens Park news conference.
