I recently Lost 40 lbs naturally and will be 50 next year!

I went through a breakup which led to a tough time a few years ago, then started working as a caregiver ("sitter") for the elderly and ended up putting on some extra weight. I was feeling very uncomfortable in my body and couldn't take it anymore so I decided to do something about it.

I downloaded a calorie counting app and started tracking what I was eating...I had no idea I was eating so many calories on a daily basis. I also moved in with one of my elderly clients to be there for her 24/7 and she just happened to buy a home about 5 minutes from a national park with 1000+ miles of trails, so I started hiking. 400+ miles and around 8 months later I have lost a total of 40 lbs. I also joined a gym for the days the weather didn't allow of hiking.

I just wanted to tell my story in hopes that it may inspire others. I've struggled with my weight, food phobias, and OCD induced eating disorders my whole life, but it can be done...and NATURALLY at almost 50 years old! It's pretty simple...eat less calories than you burn. I used the calorie counting app "Lose It!", used an Apple Watch to track my hikes/fitness, and focused on getting more protein and fiber in my diet and everything just fell into place. Making up your mind that you're ready to make the change is all you need to get started. Good Luck!

I would love to hear some of your success stories as well!

Recently Joined the PRS family and Need advice on "tacky" neck...

I recently got back into playing guitar and one of the newer guitars I purchased is this beautiful PRS SE Special Semi-Hollow in Orange Tiger Smokeburst. It's a great guitar, but the neck is kinda "tacky"...any ideas on how to fix other than sanding it down?

I've owned several Epiphone SGs over the last 20 years, but I finally bought a Gibson. I got an amazing deal and love it so much!
