Bosch Induction Range

In pursuit of an efficient solution to manage surplus solar energy while minimizing dependence on gas, I am considering the Bosch Benchmark HIIP057U range. The prominent variable zone is a compelling feature that draws my attention. However, I have encountered apprehensions regarding the reliability of these ranges due to the extensive electronic components they incorporate. I am prepared to allocate a greater investment towards an induction range that provides the same desired variable zones, akin to the Miele 7000 series, albeit at a significantly higher cost. Nevertheless, I am uncertain whether this investment is justified. I would be grateful for any insights you may provide in this matter.

Need New Dryer to Offset Solar Surplus

In search of a heat pump dryer that offers exceptional reliability, high capacity, and rapid drying efficiency, I have encountered conflicting advice regarding LG and Samsung models. While these brands are commonly recommended, they do not consistently meet my specific requirements, particularly in terms of reliability. Although I acknowledge that conventional dryers consume more energy, I appreciate the absence of venting in heat pump versions. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Solar and Battery / Excessive Generation

I am experiencing an excess of electricity generation and am considering replacing my appliances to transition from gas to electrical power. My gas bill in the spring is currently at $100. While my high-end DCS range still functions, the igniters are nearing the end of their lifespan. However, my dryer operates flawlessly after seven years. I am contemplating purchasing a mid-range Bosch Benchmark electric range and dryer. Any insights into whether this investment is prudent? I am not inclined to continue paying PGE for natural gas, as they charge us for the privilege of being connected and pay us zero for electricity during certain periods of the day. Edit - I have 2 PW3’s and 2 Model Y’s.
