There is no right way to do it... THERE IS NOT
Hey, I could really use a fresh pair of eyes on this. Need help with layout
I’m about to move into an attic apartment and I’m kinda stuck trying to figure out how to make everything fit without it feeling like a mess.
Here’s what I’ve got:
- 2 large leather armchairs (95×95 cm each)
- Sofa (200×95 cm)
- Coffee table (95×95 cm)
- Dining table (117×74 cm) + 4 chairs
- Big double-door fridge (90×70 cm)
The tricky part is the layout. The kitchen is built-in and can’t be moved at all — it’s roughly 360 cm long. On its left side there’s also a built-in wardrobe (about 60 cm deep), so that whole section is basically locked in place.
And since it’s an attic, both side walls are slanted. The ceiling starts dropping pretty low (around 120 cm), and the slope kicks in roughly 165 cm from each side, so only the middle strip of the room has full height.
So yeah… I’m struggling to picture a setup that actually works.
Another complication is the fridge — it can’t go into the kitchen area, so it has to be placed somewhere else (apparently the last tenant had the same issue).
If anyone has ideas, layouts, or even just “I’d try this” kind of suggestions, I’d really appreciate it. I’m open to moving things around however needed, I just can’t quite visualize a good solution right now.
Thanks
