WARNING - Avoid Mr Lube Ritson Rd N Oshawa
My daughter went to Mr Lube to have her winter tires removed and her summer tires put on. Both sets are on rims. The salesman told her that the lug nuts were rusted and he had to “by law”replace all of the lug nuts He also indicated that they noticed an oil leak and provided her an estimate of $500. She was distraught as she is a student. Fortunately she called me. I spoke with the salesman and told him under no circumstances was he to do any work other than the tire change. He argued and told me she would not be permitted to drive the car from their lot because it was dangerous. I told him to put the summer tires on and to call the police if he needed to. The following week we took the car to our mechanic. No oil leak and no issues with the lug nuts. This is the third instance of scams that I have heard about them. The two others incidents are similar in nature. Shame on you Mr Lube. I hope to see an OUT OF BUSINESS sign on your door sooner rather than later. I will continue to tell everyone who will listen about your tactics!!!
