What are your go to meal ideas. My friend and I are planning a kayak trip. Looking for meal ideas (mainly for supper). Ideally something a bit nicer than the standard premade dehydrated hiking meal. What are your tried and true recipes or ideas.

I am looking for a recommendation for a solid restaurant, that is at least somewhat family friendly. It's for my mom's birthday, so something nice, but somewhere where a somewhat rambunctious 3 year old won't be super out of place.
